Summer Workshop is a Smashing Success

By Warren Rothe

The PDC would like to thank all our attendees, sponsors, and Legaue staff who made our Summer Workshop a smashing success! Personal highlights for myself include the ethics session with our Senior Advisors and our closing morning session with Dr. Bender. I am grateful for the feedback we have received and plan on incorporating many of the suggestions in future conferences.

The PDC will now turn our attention to our upcoming Winter Institute which will be held in Lansing. We have issued a call to MME’s Committees for content and programming, and we are excited to see what topics and sessions are submitted. I would like to especially thank the Ethics Committee, who in addition to its memorable session in Frankenmuth, has already secured a general session speaker for Winter Institute. It is fitting that the Ethics Committee is leading by example!

Last but certainly not least, I am pleased to share that our 2024 Summer Workshop will be held in beautiful Marquette. This will be our association’s first visit to Marquette and our fourth visit to the upper peninsula. For the history buffs among us, we visited Sault Ste. Marie in 1987, 1995, and 2009. Marquette is a stunning community, and I am grateful for the MME Board, PDC, and MML for making this happen.
