Professional Development Committee Update

Warren Rothe
Chair, Professional Development Committee

On behalf of the entire Professional Development Committee, I extend gratitude to everyone who made the long trek to our 2024 Summer Workshop. I think it is safe to say that the City of Marquette offered an unforgettable setting that allowed us to professionally recharge and relax. It is no understatement to say there was something restorative in the crisp Lake Superior air.

A special thank you goes out to our presenters and sponsors for their invaluable contributions. Your expertise and generous support played a crucial role in making our event a success. We deeply appreciate the time, effort, and resources you dedicated to ensuring that our members had access to top-notch learning experiences and networking opportunities.

The success of our conferences relies heavily on the active participation and engagement of our members. Your ongoing support and enthusiasm are the driving forces behind our efforts to provide high-quality professional development opportunities for municipal executives across Michigan.

We will share more details about our 2025 Winter Institute in Bay City, January 28–31, in the coming months, including information on speakers, sessions, and registration. Be sure to mark your calendars and save the date! But for now, I’d like to celebrate a Summer Workshop that was simply Superior.

In Service,

Warren Rothe
