The Michigan Municipal Executives (MME) membership selected their new board and officers during its annual Winter Institute that took place earlier this month in Kalamazoo.
The MME members elected the following to serve new roles and terms on the board: president-elect Northville City Manager Patrick Sullivan, vice-president Fenton City Manager Lynn Markland, and trustees Midland County Administrator Bridgette Gransden, Norway City Manager Ray Anderson, Howell City Manager Shea Charles, and Otsego City Manager Thad Beard.
Keith Van Beek, Ottawa County’s deputy county administrator, was named the MME new president. You can view a press release about that here.
The new board members join the following board members already serving: Saginaw County Controller Robert Belleman, Traverse City City Manager Martin Colburn, Zeeland City Manager Tim Klunder, Gladwin City Manager Robert Moffit, Kalamazoo City Manager James Ritsema, Ludington City Manager John Shay, Petoskey City Manager Robert Straebel and Thomas Township Manager Russell Taylor.
The purpose of Michigan Municipal Executives is to foster and encourage the personal and professional development of its members in order that they may better server their communities and to promote, encourage, and preserve high ethical standards for municipal administrators.
