In the event that a member of MME is fired, forced to resign or otherwise involuntarily separated from local government service, MME, through the efforts of the Managers in Transition Committee, provides several services to its members. These services include:
- Use of a laptop computer available for checkout at the MML Ann Arbor office.
- A resource notebook providing pertinent supportive articles and a list of resources.
- Funding for an initial consultation with a psychologist for both the member and spouse.
- Personal contacts by MME members
Many members in transition have found the personal contacts of support by MME members to be very helpful during the transition period. If you are currently in transition and wish to inform the membership by providing information on how to contact you, then please fill out the Manager in Transition form. After submitting the form, the information will be posted on this site and also sent to the Chairman of the Managers In Transition Committee. If you wish to submit an electronic copy of your resume to post on this site, then please email a copy to mit@mme.org. If you are a member of ICMA, you should also be aware of several services that ICMA offers to members in transition. For more information on these services, click here.
